I Can See It Coming

And then from the speakers came...

.... Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...

Ack!

I mean seriously? Is Christmas already around the corner? I counted, we have 111 days to go but the memories of Christmas '07 still seem so fresh. Morning shows keep featuring everything about Christmas. From where to score beautiful / cool / cheap Christmas decors to tips about how to come up with a reasonable Christmas shopping list without having to max out all your cash.

I can't believe that soon, we will be planning the Christmas dinner menu again. Wrapping gifts - oh no, thinking of ways of how to hide the gifts from the kids and then finding the perfect time in the middle of the dead of the night to wrap them.

It is happening, The 'ber" months have set the mood. Early, early sunsets, the chilly air that greets you when you step outside.

3 more months before we close 2008.

Has is it been a good year for you so far?

Christmas is a wonderful time of the year. I'm excited about it already.

Yes, I'm happy how things are going for me this year.

I LOVE Christmas! I just hate the cold. I'm just hoping we have a mild winter here.

2008 seems to have flown by!

Christmas - ewwww!!!! I prefer to forget about it for as long as I possibly can. Maybe I'll even make it to Halloween before they start putting the decorations out in the stores.

Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas in general, but it's such a LOT of work and expense, so I prefer to just let it blindside me every year.

2008 has been bittersweet for us. With the loss of a few friends (due to cancer) and family members being diagnosed with cancer, it's been tough. At the same time, there have been many good things that have come out of 2008...like us getting pregnant with our first child and my brother and his wife getting pregnant with twins!

I always love Christmas. It's my favourite time of the year (my b-day is exactly a week before Christmas).

Here in Canada, as soon as the stores take down all the "Back to School" stuff, they put up the "Thanksgiving" stuff. After they take that down, they put up the "Halloween" decorations. After Halloween, it's "Christmas" stuff. The holidays have become very commercial. That's for sure.
